The days of our lives turn and pass quickly. So fast that they often seem to blur together . Good overshadowed by bad. Happy out played by sad. That’s the way our minds work. The fall of our spiritual man left us with a mark of shame in our memories. Satan uses that to make our negative self image rise before anything positive, keeping us in a perpetual mind state of defeat. These thoughts are the triggers we need to remember God’s grace, mercy, and that he has a plan for our lives. A plan to prosper us and not destroy (Jer. 29:11). We are created for more than to just be a recollection of past failures, losses, and misfortunes. The complexity of our minds are only limited by our capacity to believe. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Heb. 11:1).
God is calling to us closer to him daily. To surrender our hesitance and fears. To live the life that He orchestrates. Yes, we are co-creators with Christ (1 Cor. 3:9), and we have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16). The decisions we make should always be viewed from those lenses, not colored by our fears or selfish desires. The plan is His and His alone for us. The “co” in our role as creator is to author along with God, not in place of God. This is what tripped up Moses when he struck the rock. His belief in his “co-creatorship” caused the water, God’s power, to flow. But it came at a price. He, and others of that same mindset, missed the promised land. It wasn’t the fact that he made a single mistake that cased so many to left out. It was the intent in their hearts that caused them to be left behind. They chose to create a plan for their lives in place of God instead of along with God. It took another generation to be raised up to understand this principle. The promise of that land was for those that believed in God and his plan wholeheartedly. It’s time to step lively towards Christ and into his plan. No more slumber and sitting on our hands. No more waiting for another word from God before you want to want to get up. The Holy Spirit has already spoken and provide the directions. Let Him work out the plan. All we have to is get up. Move. Follow the instructions as they are given. We just need to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7). I’m ready for more. There’s more to life than today’s sorrows and circumstances. Joy, gladness, peace, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, prosperity… they’re all apart of the plan too. There’s so much more to God’s plan. I’m ready for more!
Are you ready for more?
Jer. 29:11 NIV
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Lord, I am ready for more. More of Your plan for my life. More joy, peace, love, grace, mercy, provision, and direction. I am ready for more of You. Please give me more. In Jesus name, amen.
