It’s so easy to tell someone else how to live, what to say, or what to do. There’s no responsibility or consequence for us since we have no skin in the game. We don’t have to deal with the circumstances or temptations that they face. We can simply stand back and watch. We get the opportunity to even feel some kind of way about how and what they are doing. What about when it’s our turn to have the issue and trial? Do we perform up to our standard of excellence? Do we get it right, or even try? When faced with the harsh realities of life, we have to walk the walk that that we talk about. Life isn’t a spectator sport. It’s real. It requires our participation. Life goes on without us because no response is an agreement to whatever the question is. What’s life asking you?
Rom. 12:2 NLT
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Lord, I want to walk the walk that I talk about. I want to live the life that You speak about. Please show me how to do that today. In Jesus name, amen.
